2015 Honda Odyssey Minivan

We are thrilled to announce the arrival of our “new to us” 2015 Honda Odyssey minivan, a resource designed to enhance both our services and employee experience.
This van will serve two important purposes:

  • Supporting group activities for the individuals we serve, making outings and community engagement easier and more enjoyable.

  • Recognizing outstanding employees by offering the van as a special reward for our STAR recipients.

This initiative reflects the Board’s strong commitment to supporting staff and creating meaningful opportunities for both employees and those we serve. We also want to acknowledge the creativity and dedication of our team—your suggestions and input made this possible!

We look forward to seeing the positive impact this new resource will have on our programs and workplace culture. Thank you for your continued commitment to excellence and innovation.

S.T.A.R. Award Recipients

Premier Payee has a monthly S.T.A.R. Award. The STAR award stands for Stellar Teammate Award Recipient. It recognizes employees who have went above and beyond in some way. STAR recipients are nominated by coworkers, persons served, and other stakeholders.

Congratulations to the following award winner(s):

Nancy Worden is the STAR Award recipient for September 2026.  She is recognized for two very distinct accomplishments.  Nancy organized a beautiful memorial service for two of our clients who lost their mother a year ago.  She wrote up a wonderful, short biography of their mother and is working on getting a printed memorial program created for the clients to have as a keepsake.  Nancy recently started as the primary staff for a new client and worked very quickly to get this client’s needs caught up and making sure she was involved in social activities.  Great job Nancy!  You are a valued member of the team and the support you give to the clients is truly amazing.

We are pleased to recognize Astrid Toledo as the August 2026 STAR Award recipient.

Astrid truly knocked it out of the park by helping a client achieve the significant milestone of going swimming. This accomplishment represents tremendous progress for the client and would not have been possible without Astrid’s encouragement, patience, and unwavering support.

Through her dedication, compassion, and commitment to helping others succeed, Astrid has become an invaluable member of our team. Her positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to go above and beyond for the individuals we serve make her highly deserving of this recognition.

Congratulations, Astrid, and thank you for the difference you make every day!

Gus Grau is the STAR Award recipient for July 2026. Gus is a pleasure to work with and consistently demonstrates a caring, positive attitude that makes a meaningful impact on both clients and colleagues. His ability to empathize with his clients and support them is truly impressive.  He has shown tremendous growth in his role, continually developing his skills and taking on new responsibilities with confidence and professionalism. Gus consistently takes initiative and can be relied upon to complete tasks thoroughly and effectively. He is always willing to step up when there is a need, frequently volunteering to support additional clients and ensuring they receive the care and attention they deserve. His flexibility, dependability, and team-first mindset exemplify the qualities of a STAR employee.  Through his dedication, compassion, and commitment to growth, Gus has become a valued member of the team. His positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond has earned him this recognition.

Alda Helvey is the STAR Award recipient for June 2026. Alda consistently demonstrates dedication, persistence, a strong work ethic, and genuine compassion in her work with clients. She goes above and beyond to support individuals in achieving their goals and overcoming challenges.

Alda recently played a key role in helping a client successfully transition into a new home, providing support throughout the moving process and ensuring they felt comfortable and settled in their new environments. She also assisted this client in purchasing and setting up a laptop, empowering them to use technology for the first time in the client’s life.  In another example of her commitment, Alda worked diligently with a client to coordinate multiple medical appointments and ensure they were able to attend them. To provide this critical support, she willingly volunteered to work additional shifts on her days off, demonstrating exceptional dedication to the client's health and well-being.  Alda's caring nature, reliability, and unwavering commitment to those she serves make her an invaluable team member and a true reflection of our organization's values. Her efforts have made a meaningful difference in the lives of her clients, thus making her fitting recipient of this recognition.

Deb Belcher is the STAR Award recipient for May 2026. Deb's dedication, persistence, and strong work ethic consistently set her apart. She approaches every challenge with determination, maintains a positive attitude, and can always be counted on to achieve positive outcomes for her clients.

Deb frequently supports clients through highly stressful situations with compassion and professionalism. Most recently, she assisted a client in navigating a complex situation involving a state agency that became involved due to issues within the client's apartment building. Deb worked closely with the client throughout the process, helping them meet all necessary requirements while also making meaningful progress toward a long-standing housing goal that had been a significant barrier for some time.  In addition to her outstanding performance, Deb is caring and supportive of both clients and colleagues. Her willingness to help others, provide guidance, and contribute to a positive team environment makes her a valued team member and a true reflection of our organization's values. Deb's commitment, perseverance, and compassion make her truly worth this recognition.

Ashton Wilbur is the STAR Award recipient for April 2026. Ashton is a pleasure to work with and brings a positive, friendly energy to every interaction. His approachable and likeable personality helps build strong relationships with both clients and coworkers, making him a valued member of the team.  Ashton is always willing to lend a hand whenever support is needed and consistently demonstrates a team-first attitude. He takes initiative and looks for opportunities to contribute beyond his regular responsibilities. A great example of this was at the annual picnic, where Ashton stepped up to help wherever needed, ensuring the event ran smoothly and that everyone felt welcomed and included.  His positive attitude, willingness to help, and commitment to supporting both the team and the people we serve make Ashton highly deserving of this recognition. He truly exemplifies the qualities of a STAR employee.
